falling leavesAs suggested in the preceding haiku, the "path" can often get confused as Summer turns to Fall and, ultimately, to Winter.
hide the path
so quietly
~John Bailey, "Autumn"
With the daylight savings time in full effect, not only are the days getting shorter, but so is the school year! As I've shared with our students, these next few weeks will be fast and furious as we have not only had a shortened week this week, given Veteran's Day, but with Thanksgiving Recess next week (No School--November 22 and 23), and Parent-Teacher Conferences the following week (No School for Students--November 29 and 30) , we will not be spending a full five day school week together until December! The main challenge this creates for students, teachers and parents, is keeping track of classes, assignments and important due dates. Once again we are reminded of the importance of using the Student Agenda to carefully identify what assignments (and in which classes) are upcoming. In Language Arts, we will be continuing to work with Where the Red Fern Grows, as well as, transitioning into a library research project (fingers crossed!) during the month of December.
I invite each of us the clear the path for our studenst by reminding them to saty steadfast in updating their agendsa... a little reminder to carefully stay on the trail wouldn't hurt any of us either!
Read Up and Write On!
