Homework: November 1

We're trying something new with the novel Where the Red Fern Grows, following completion of the Literature Circle Prep in their Literature Journals, students will be assigned the task of completing a "Student Study Guide." It will require students to engage the reading in a number of different ways. You'll notice, too, that there is an opportunity for extra credit, termed "Enrichment."

Tonight this new type of assignment applies only to Red Class. Others will be assigned as they begin the novel over the next two days. Here's what is on the menu for this evening:

Green Class

1. Complete "Checking the Framework" Worksheet for Where the Red Fern Grows
2. Read & prepare a Lit Circle Preparation for Chapters I &II of Where the Red Fern Grows
3. Have Vocabulary Quiz 2 signed by a parent/guardian and make corrections for increased/extra credit

Red Class

1. Complete working on the Student Study Guide for Chapters I and II of Where the Red Fern Grows
2. Have Vocabulary Quiz 2 signed by a parent/guardian and make corrections for increased/extra credit
