Those who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed."~Lloyd Jones

The “blind” survey included twenty prompts to which students were asked to respond “Yes,” “Sometimes,” or “No.” Additionally there were some short answer questions which prompted students to share what they perceived to be the things that were working or in need of improvement relative to classroom instruction.
As one would expect, students felt great about some things and had some concerns about others. I have already shared the results with your students and wanted to let you know how they felt about our class so far.
The Good:
86% students think that the objectives, requirements and grading system are clearly explained.Food for Thought:
89% of students think that the teacher is involved and supportive.
89% of students think teacher is approachable and willing to help.
86% students think that they are kept informed of progress. So what does one do when he doesn't "earn" a 100%? I have recommended to my students who have not reached that lofty goal yet to do as I say... and do. Accept the feedback in the spirit it is intended (valuable infromation which can help you reach your potential--whether as a teacher, student, or as in my case, both!) and begin to make some changes where possible to improve!
80% of students think the class is well managed.
57% of students think that the teacher provides opportunity for student choice.
