Almost Time to Return... ALMOST!

In just a few days we will all be returning to school following what I know was a restful break. There are quite a few exciting things on the horizon for us, including the third quarter's five week reports, the New York State Math 8 Assessment, and the conclusion of our current Social Justice and Adversity Unit.

I'm looking very forward to collecting, reading, grading your Reading Journals, as well as, sharing with you the final writing prompt for the unit. If all goes as planned (and we have no more Snow Days) it is safe to predict our finishing up this unit just in time for the Math exam beginning on March 10.


Fear not, a new unit will be waiting just around the bend, with an all-new, all-exciting independent novel for you to read! I have spent a good deal of this break reading some stories and poems for use in class, as well as the very serious literature I read for fun...
