Report Cards Are Out!

Second Quarter Report Cards were distributed to all House 1 Grade 8 students as of the close of school today (Thursday, February 7). Please ask your student if you have not yet seen the Report Card and sign the envelope for your student to return to school.

It can be a challenge knowing just how to talking to your child about thier report card, but some genral suggestions include:

1. focus on the positive,

2. ask the right questions,

3. plan some "next steps" with your student.
Other suggestions for just "what to do with the report card" to assist your student in improving can be found here courtesy of FamilyEducation.com.

Remember, that while the third quarter has already begun, it is never too late to improve. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments regarding your student’s progress, please contact the teacher or counselors if you would like to arrange a team meeting with teachers.

Read Up and Write On!
