Progress Reports, that is.
Over the next few days you can expect to receive your student's five week report in the mail. For some, this is a time to pat ourselves, and our students, on the back for the many positive things that have taken place already this school year. For others, it can provide the opportunity to remind ourselves of the opportunity we have been given, and to refocus our energies on doing our best.
It is necessary, I think, to recognize that it is only the beginning of this school year: if things have gone well, there is a need to "stay strong" and continue doing your best. If things have not gone so well, and you're not performing to the best of your ability, there is still an excellent opportunity to grow... and improve.
