Thanks to all parent who did such a wonderful job preparing our students for success these last few days by making sure they were well fed and wide awake for the New York State ELA 8 Assessment. My sense was that the students felt confident and prepared, and most importantly, put forth their best effort. I think we can look forward to some excellent results once the assessments are scored.
Following the completion of the ELA 8 Assessment this morning, we will be returning to a degree of normalcy in Language Arts next week at which time we will begin a new unit. During our work with this unit, students ill be assigned one of three novels to be read outside of class, while in-class we will be working with a play. Regular updates to the blog with homework assignments will resume on Tuesday.
Thanks again for your support of our work this year and I look forward to a great balance of the school year!
